Cover supervisor
Hays Education is looking for PGCE FE Qualified Lecturers to work as Cover Supervisors in the Bridgend Area to cover absences starting ASAP. As an FE Qualified Lecturer working as a Cover Supervisor in Bridgend you will be working with KS3, 4 and 5 pupils.
If you are a PGCE FE Qualified Lecturer or can prove that you have a minimum of 40 days experience managing behaviour of children in groups and offering support and guidance we have a position for you.
Main Duties for a Cover Supervisor include:
Supervising whole classes and groups
Working under the guidance of teaching staff
Supervising and delivering pre-set work programmes
Managing pupil behaviour
Responding to pupil's questions
Assisting pupils to undertake set activities as appropriate
Reporting back as appropriate
Dealing with immediate problems
It is essential that suitable candidates:
Will have proven behaviour/classroom management experience and skills.
Will have experience of working with 12 - 18 year olds.
Will have PGCE FE
Will be confident to stand in front of the class and deliver pre set work
Have a good understanding of national curriculum and ability think on their feet
It would be an advantage to have an area of specialism in core or non-core curriculum subject and excellent ICT skills
