fancy forming a band to play at my sister's wedding and maybe a lot more?
i have been asked to find a band to play at my sisters wedding - July 26th. As a singer/songwriter (for a few very bad demo versions see myspace.com/runawaybrian) I would love to hear what some of my songs sound like with other musicians. And when I say other, i mean other. I love the current crop of indie music, 60s pop music, stadium rock, but also love the freeness and experimenting of Arcade Fire and Bowie and Springsteen's Seeger sessions roots music project. Fancy doing the 'Bare Necessities' as well as 'Everybody needs somebody to love' (Blues Brothers) at a wedding?! To be musically good and tight, but more than anything, to be an interesting enjoyable live draw. So, I want a few random people in a room (any level, any instrument) and to see what results from just playing together, my own songs as well as covers. (I have over 100songs!)
