Upon emailing about one ad and speaking to the &quot seller&quot who was foreign and didnt answer any detailed questions about the puppy this was understood to be a scam. The &quot seller&quot advised that due to relocation the puppies had to be sold quickly and that the puppies would be sent via pet courier. However after growing suspicious about this we looked at pet courier services online and one (namely w.wecarepetservices.co.uk) had a heading on the front of their homepage saying Beware Of Scams All the pieces fell into place after reading about this scam and the description given in the scam fitted what the seller said exactly They will say that you can pay for the pet and courier services upon delivery but still ask for your bank details (to which we thankfully didnt get suckered into giving) and home address obviously to link the card up to the address I dont want to publicise the email address but various scam websites online (w.terrificpets.com scams being one of them) indicate that a lot of scam addresses derive from yahoo and there is a particular website that lists all scam email addresses advertising cheap puppies kittens etc. and the date they were caught. I have given this particular yahoo address to gumtree when reporting the ad so hopefully no-one (or not too many people at least) will be scammed. I can spot the scam ads from a mile away now so have reported them to Gumtree which they have promptly removed. Theyre still persistent though I had to post this ad as I was so incensed this scam could have happened to me that I dont want any other victims to fall prey to these scam artists. Thanks.
